Polyethylene (Pol'-e-eth'-a-leen)

1. Good low-cost gasket tape, also works well as a mounting tape.

Polyethylene foam tape is a very low cost material, when compared to other closed cell foam products with similar gasketing capabilities. When double coated (adhesive applied to both sides) it serves as an excellent mounting tape for bonding to textured surfaces together. Not recommended for any application that requires good compression recovery. Available in white or black.
